Set
at the foot of one of these dunes is Kanz Erremal,
meaning 'treasure of the dunes'. It's a newly-built
hotel in traditional kasbah style – a huge inner atrium
with narrow rooms all around, and four corner-towers
surmounting the roof-terrace – using traditional Berber
materials: mud-brick walls, cane and wood ceilings,
handmade tiles.
